All about Concordia Travel

Welcome to the Concordia Travel website, you are probably wondering who we are and what we do?

Well we are a group of travel industry experts, with a collective experience of over 50 years working in the industry. Over the years we have worked for some of the biggest names in the industry, both in the online and offline sectors.

Over the years we have performed many roles within the travel industry. including retail agent, travel buyers, marketing of travel products and customer services. We have worked with all levels of the industry, from boutique agents to large multi national agents. As well as stints with the some of the worlds largest OTA’s (online travel agents).

Over the years we have seen how much the industry has changed with the advent of technology, whilst many of these changes have been great for the industry and customer alike. Some have not been great, for example the loss of personal service and VIP treatment.

We got together to form Concordia travel to put this right. We firmly believe there is a market for a hybrid version. What do we mean by Hybrid? Well our aim is to take the best bits from the online and a high street agents and merge them into one super service.

By utilizing the services of Concordia, you will be able to get the best of both worlds. the convenience and price of an OTA, combined with the service and hassle free approach of letting a physical agent do all the leg work.

We aim to match the price of the large OTA’s whilst giving you the service you’d expect from a boutique agent. In addition in the unlikely event something goes wrong with your trip (think weather, strikes, etc) then rather than having to spend hours and hours on the phone to a virtually non existent customer service department, you can phone the very same agent that booked your trip and get them to sort it out for you.

We don’t publish prices on our website, why you ask? Well as a tailor made agent, all of our prices are dependent on the clients needs. We don’t believe in splashing our website with headline lead in prices, only to offer a different price at time of booking. It annoys us when companies do it to us, and we wont do it to our companies. Rest assured though this doesn’t mean we are not competitive, in fact 99% of the time we match the best OTA’s prices for flgihts and hotels.

Instead we treat our site more like a travel blog, with the aim to give inspiration and ideas to start the travel planning process.
